Designed by Bobby Weed, winner of the Golf Digest award for Best New Private Course in America, Spanish Oaks was also lauded by Golf Digest in 2009 as one of the top courses in Texas.
Set in the rugged Texas Hill Country, the layout is a complete collection of intriguing golf holes. The routing tumbles over the unique “step-riser” topography and weaves around ancient Spanish and Live Oaks. Native scrub, gnarled cedar fence posts and weathered steel truss bridges create a rich and rustic setting.
The detail of the course is equaled by the strategic challenge of the holes. Two spectacular gorges bisect the layout and lacy edged bunkers sit deliberately in the line of play. Thoughtful contouring accentuates the ground game and rewards the player who considers the roll of the ball.
Spanish Oaks Members enjoy open tee times and well trained caddies. Facilities include a golf shop, men’s and ladies lounges as well as fine and casual dining, indoor and al fresco dining, a private dining room and bar.
